Michelle Williams, one third of the group Destiny’s Child is revealing her struggle with depression publicly for the very first time.
The 32-year-old singer who has reunited with her former band-mates and is rumored to be joining Beyonce on stage during the halftime show at Super Bowl XLVII, has spoken out about her experiences with depression in hopes of helping others.
“I’ve dealt with depression,” Michelle says. “I had to choose to get out of bed and do whatever I needed to do to be happy.”
Williams who is currently on tour with the Broadway production ‘Fela!‘ continued to say, “We’re taught, ‘Just go to church and pray about it. The Lord is going to heal you.’ Well, in the meantime, I believe God-gifted people, physicians, doctors, therapists — that’s your healing. Take advantage of it,” says Williams. “Go see a professional so that they can assess you. It’s OK if you’re going through something. Depression is not OK, but it is OK to go get help.”
“Sometimes you’re going to wake up on the wrong side of the bed or some situation might have you down in the dumps, but you have to choose to be happy. I’m choosing life,” says Williams.
Things are definitely going to heat up during Super Bowl XLVII as Bar Refaeli has teamed up with Go Daddy for a sexy Super Bowl commercial.

I really look forward to meeting Danica too!”
The 31-year-old entertainer has just signed a $50 million deal with Pepsi.
Beyoncé has been in partnership with Pepsi since 2002 but her new deal will coincide with her Pepsi-sponsored Super Bowl XLVII halftime show where she will take the stage on February 3rd.
Bey will be featured in a new TV ad for Pepsi and her face will be on a limited-edition line of soda cans.
Pepsi will also be promoting her new album due sometime in 2013 as well as her upcoming tour.
The soft drink company will also be putting money toward other creative projects of Beyoncé’s even if they are not connected with the Pepsi.
“Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity,” Knowles said about her new deal.
