I love a good cup of tea, who doesn’t?! A few months ago, my best friend introduced me to Physique Fundamentals, a dynamic herbal-based tea company that encourages optimal health. One of the things that really intrigued me about the company was their Complexion Correction detox tea. As a beauty blogger, I love to try out various products and this tea was definitely on my “must try it” list.
Physique Fundamentals have three different types of teas,Lean Mean (detoxifying and weight loss), Clean Sweep (detoxifying and weight loss) and Complexion Correction (detoxifying). Each tea serves a different purpose, depending on what you want to achieve. I decided to start with the Complexion Correction, as I love testing out products that promise healthy, glowing skin.
Happy September my loves! I am so excited to be reviewing the new Smashbox SHAPEMATTERSpalette for you guys. I got this palette for my birthday last month and I have so many positive things to say about it.
The reason I wanted this palette was because it wasn’t just an eyeshadow palette, it was a complete kit 3-in-1 palette that comes with contouring powders including a highlighting powder, eyebrow powders and wax, as well as nine eyeshadows. The palette also includes a double-ended brush for your eyes and Get The Look cards which feature T-link technology that when scanned with your phone, it will activate how-to videos. Pretty awesome, right?!
Goodbye contouring, hello strobing. Now, some of you may asking, “what is strobing?” Strobing is the new beauty trend that just focuses on highlighting your face. While contouring focuses on chiseling the face, strobing gives you that dewy, youthful glow.
Strobing is the perfect new beauty trend to achieve that summer glow. To get that perfect glow, you want to start off with hydrated skin and with an illuminated base like Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mistor MAC Strobe Cream. Then with a cream or powder highlight, you want to illuminate the ares that natural light touches by applying your highlighter to your cheekbones, forehead, bridge of your nose, brow bone, the corner of your eyes, and cupid’s bow.
Now that you know how to achieve luminous skin, here are the best highlighters to achieve the strobing effect.
A few weeks ago, I stepped into my local Sephora looking for a new primer. I find gel type primers very drying on my face and I was looking for a more moisturizing primer. I came across the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water, thanks to one of the sales associates.
At first I wasn’t sold on it as it was primer water, so I wasn’t sure how my makeup would last wearing it but I decided to give it a whirl. Plus, as you may already know, I am a sucker for trying out new makeup products.
I went for the smaller bottle as it wasn’t a product that they could give me a sample of since it was a spray bottle and this way if I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t have spent a lot of money.
When I first sprayed it on my face, the primer made my skin feel revitalized right away, it felt so refreshing. The primer reawakens the skin and restores moisture into the skin which is very important. It’s also packed with electrolytes and free of alcohol, oil and silicone (always a plus). My favourite way to use the primer is by spritzing it on my face in the middle of the day to reawaken my look.
How to use the primer: Hold the bottle 8″-10″ away from your face and mist evenly. I first do a T across my face then a X.
This multi-purpose primer doesn’t only moisturize and lock down makeup, here are 4 ways to use the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water.
