I’ve had an obsession with Korean skincare for quite some time now, Korean women are known for being pretty serious when it comes to their skin. Every few months I visit Holika Holikain downtown Toronto (a Korean cosmetic retailer) to pick up some goodies (their beauty masks are AMAZING).
This past weekend I picked up the Face 2 Change Liquid Roller BB Cream and I have to say it’s the best BB cream I have ever used, in my life! The BB cream has UV protection, whitening and it’s anti-wrinkle (what woman doesn’t love that?). The coverage is remarkable as well, I found it had a bit more coverage than other BB creams I used which is perfect for me.
When I first got a glimpse of Tarte Cosmetics‘ newest palette, Tartelette($44), I knew I had to have it. I have tons of neutral matte eyeshadow palettes but something about this one spoke to me.
Tarte’s newest palette features 12 exclusive all-matte eyeshadows infused with their signature Amazonian clay. Each eyeshadow is named to inspire, celebrate and empower women (I think the eyeshadow names are what spoke to me). The palette also comes with a step-by-step guide for creating a daytime and a nighttime look using the shadows. I actually wish Tarte included a step-by-step guide for four looks instead of two. I don’t think their daytime guide was very practical, most women are not going to wear a plum eye makeup look with purple liner during the day.
My nails never keep colour on them, probably because I am OCD about washing my hands consistently and though I love getting my nails done, I can’t fathom spending $35 every two weeks for a Shellac manicure.
Recently, one of my cousin’s recommended that I try Sally Hanson’s Miracle Gel nail polish (she couldn’t stop raving about it), so I decided to put it to the test. Plus, I love finding a great drugstore buy and dupe.
This Miracle Gel polish promises up to 14 days of colour and shine, no UV/LED light needed, and you can remove it with regular nail polish, say bye bye to damaging acetone gel removal.
I am so excited to review the newest Urban Decay palette. It’s the brand’s limited-edition Naked on the Run all-in-one travel kit. I am a huge UD fan, you can even check out my UD Naked2 Basics palette review that I did in September, here.
This new palette comes with six exclusive eyeshadows, bronzer, blush, eye liner, mascara and a full-size lipgloss.
All the eyeshadow colours work perfectly together to create a range of makeup looks.
