Other than the Academy Awards, the Met Gala is my favourite red carpet fashion event. This year, the 2015 Met Gala is celebrating the opening of the China: Through the Looking Glass exhibition.
Every year, the Met Gala has a theme and with the opening of the exhibition, the focus of the evening was (you guessed it), China! The one thing that I love about the Met Gala is that celebrities and influencers are more willing to take a red carpet risk.
With red, gold and florals being a huge trend during the evening, you can see who made my list of favourite looks below!
Selena Gomez: Selena looked absolutely angelic in this Vera Wang creation. The black tassels hanging off her shoulders and the white floral headpiece are my favourite.
Keri Russell: Keri wowed me in this green feathered Altuzarra dress. The plunging neckline, feathered peplum and side slit really make this dress come alive. She looks absolutely beautiful.
Anne Hathaway: I am beyond obsessed with Anne in this gold hooded Ralph Lauren number. The hood is the new cape.
Kate Hudson: Kate is really giving me life in this high-neck gold Michael Kors gown. My jaw dropped when I saw Kate wearing this.
Amal Clooney: Amal went for an strapless John Galliano gown. The bodice really gives this dress an edgy look which I love.
Rihanna: We can always count on Rihanna making a statement on the red carpet. RiRi paid homage to the evening’s theme wearing a yellow Guo Pei ensemble. Even though people have been making fun of the look, I love it.
Kendall Jenner: Kendall looked sizzling in this beaded Calvin Klein Collection high neck dress. You got to have a body like Kendall to pull off a dress like that.
Poppy Delevingne: Poppy looked lavish in a Marchesa dress. I love the floral appliques, giving the dress dimension.
Beyonce: Beyonce shut down the whole gala when she arrived at the end wearing this jaw-dropping custom-made Givenchy gown. My jaw literally dropped when I saw this gown, it was by far my favourite look of the night.
Sienna Miller: Yes! I love when a woman can pull off a pant suit on the red carpet. Sienna wore a sequinned red Thakoon ensemble with black tassels.
Jennifer Lopez: As usual, JLO brought her A-game to the red carpet wearing a fiery Atelier Versace dress with a stunning dragon on it.
Bee Shaffer: Anna Wintour’s spawn dazzled in a red oriental-inspired Alexander McQueen ensemble. I love the simplicity of this dress and the intricate detailing on the train. Absolutely exquisite.
Emily Blunt: At first when I saw Emily wearing this dress I didn’t love it but when I took a second glance, I fell in love with this Prada creation. Emily looked perfectly coiffed and pulled off this look with elegance.
Helen Mirren: Helen Mirren, we are not worthy of your greatness. This Dolce and Gabbana laser-cut dress looked phenomenal on her.
